1. Maithon is located within 250 km. distance from Kolkata by road. You have to go by Durgapur Expressway upto Barakar , take a right turn and you will reach your destiny. Alternatively, go to Barakar by train which is just 8 km. away from Maithon.
2. Except from october to februery(Peak Season), Maithon is less crowded by tourists.

6. There is arrangement for boating in the dam. There is paddle boats, boats and speed boats. Hire a boat and go the 'Sabuj Deep'. It will be a journey to remember.
