Rock 'n' Roll Holly Day, The Buddy Holly Story At Victoria Theatre, Halifax

Gretna's summer season launches with The 1959 Dance Party, The Official Tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper (June 4-7). J.P. Richardson, the son of the Big Bopper, will portray his father in a cast that also features John Mueller as Buddy Holly and Ray Anthony as Ritchie Valens.

ONE of the world's most successful rock 'n' roll musicals is coming to Calderdale next week.
Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story opens at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on Monday and runs until Saturday, May 30.

The multi-award-winning show, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the musician's tragic death in a light aircraft crash in 1959 aged 22, has been seen by 20 million people in 16,000 performances worldwide.

The musical tells the story of the three years in which the small-town American boy became one of the world's top recording artists.
